Sindrow's Listen & Write, part three

Disclaimer from last time: I put my iTunes on shuffle and wrote a story based on whatever song that came on. When the song stopped, I stopped writing. Didn't edit the story except for typos and grammar mistakes, so these might be crap to you. but hey, at least i tried :)

1. Flowers – New Radicals

Soul searching. That's what they all said you were doing. But no. You know better. You now know who you are, and who you are not, is straight. There. You've said it. You said it to yourself, looking at your reflection in the mirror and it felt strange— but good. No more questioning, you said. This is it, and this is you.

This is you, you repeat. You're proud and there is nothing to be ashamed of.

So get out. Get out that door because there is someone waiting for you by the entrance and he just told you that love knows no single moment. Time builds your love from a culmination of things. It's the way his stomach churns every time you talk to someone other than him. The way his thumbs automatically dials your number because he doesn't want to not share everything with you. The way that he always, always answer your phone calls, with a smile, without giving it a second thought— even when he knows he'll eventually hear your endless dumb theories about how Mario Bros brought the world together.

You don't feel a lot of things, but you're certainly feeling those butterflies right now. So taking a step towards the door, you think about how all the things he said are worth the dirty looks from the rest of the world. Then you smile. You just smile.

2. Come Into My World — Kylie Minogue

This is what I do. I sing. To the sea, and bring it unsuspecting sailors.

Bet they didn't kiss their wives goodbye. And they probably spent their nights getting lost and intoxicated instead of tucking in their sons to bed. Bastards. Poor ungrateful bastards. I would've given anything to live, walking with my feet on the ground. But the sea has cursed me to sing and lure these men. And so I shall.

3. Got To Be There — Jackson 5

Good morning, little baby.

4. One More Chance — Michael Jackson

I forgot. And that's the truth. Granted, it doesn't make me look any better, but at least you know that I'm honest. Now, I can't help it if I'm not an elephant— because an elephant never for— NO! No, I'm not saying that you're an elephant! I'm just saying that I'm— yes, I deserved that. I'm an idiot. An idiot for forgetting our anniversary. But honey, it's because I celebrate every day that I get to spend with you. Yeah. I know. I'm such a smooth talker that I actually talked myself into telling you the truth— that I forgot. Which, by the way, brought me to my first point: I forgot, and I'm sorry, and I'll try and make it up to you for as long as I live. So, here, open the friggin' box and just say yes.
